Evaluation of Radon Concentrations in some Samples of Dwellings of Lung Cancer Patients and Healthy Using CR-39 in Iraq

Lung cancer is considered a disease that completely happened by smoking; therefore, it preventable perfectly. Yet, small percentage of cases there, possibly as many 5 to 15%, in which there are other reasons. The risk factors acknowledged for the groups comprise passive smoking, family history cancer, occupational expo sure certain chemicals and ionizing radiation, diet. Moreover, fifty samples from dwelling lung patients were compared with twenty healthy volunteers. study aims at identifying dangers radon gas infected control group, clarifying how contributes increasing cancer.
